Paid Windows 7 extended security updates available

Published: December 2, 2019

Support for Windows 7 ends on 14 January 2020, with Office 2010 following in October.

Microsoft have announced that paid Windows 7 Extended Security Updates (ESU) are now available up to January 2023 for businesses of all sizes. Previously Windows 7 ESU were only available for Windows 7 Professional and Windows 7 Enterprise customers in Volume Licensing.

From 1 December 2019, Windows 7 Professional and Windows 7 Enterprise can be purchased by businesses of all sizes through the Cloud Solution Provider Program (CSP). Windows 7 ESU will be sold on a per-device basis with a price increase year over year.

If you haven’t yet planned your move to Windows 10 and would like some advice on creating your roadmap or want to know more about Windows 7 ESU pricing, get in touch with our team of licensing experts.
