Microsoft expands Bing Maps MIO API
News|23 April 2020
Microsoft has announced the Bing Maps MIO API now supports up to 50 agents and 500 itinerary locations (versus 10 agents and 100 locations at the initial launch).
This is in response to the increased demand for effective multi-stop route planning for delivery and logistics companies at this time.
Not only does the MIO API solve the travelling salesman problem, its AI capabilities make it possible for despatch operations to schedule itineraries for multiple agents (eg., drivers, field service agents) and multiple shifts, while also optimising the routes among all agents to save travel time and distance.
