Product Information
Windows Small Business Server 2011 is an all-in-one server solution designed to help you keep your data more secure and your company more productive. It provides many of the features used by larger companies, such as e-mail, Internet connectivity, internal Web sites, remote access, support for mobile devices, file and printer sharing, backup, and restore - all at one affordable price.
There are two separate editions of Small Business Server 2011. The Essentials edition is an easy-to-configure solution for home offices and small businesses (up to 25 users) looking to integrate with cloud-based services such as Office 365 while the Standard edition provides integrated email and intranet services and is ideal for larger small businesses (up to 75 users). Both additions support a separately purchasable Premium add-on licence which provides additional Windows Server and SQL Server functionality.

- Expandable functionality with purchase of the Small Business Server 2011 Premium Add-on.
Windows Small Business Server 2011 Standard
- Designed for up to 75 users - requires CALs (client access licences) for all users/devices
- Includes Exchange 2010 SP1, SharePoint Foundation 2010 and Windows Software Update Services
- Features Active Directory Domain Services, automatic server and PC backup capabilities, remote Web access and more
- Ideal for an email server, SharePoint server, website hosting, line-of-business applications and more
- Expandable functionality with purchase of the Small Business Server 2011 Premium Add-on.
Small Business Server 2011 Premium Add-on
- An additional server licence for SBS 2011 - consists of Windows Server 2008 R2 Standard and SQL Server 2008 R2 for Small Business
- Ideal for running line-of-business applications that connect to SQL Server
- Includes Remote Desktop Services and virtualisation services with Hyper-V
- Functions as an backup domain controller
- Additional 'Premium Add-on CALs' are required for every user accessing SQL Server 2008 R2 for Small Business.
