LiteSpeed for SQL Server is a powerful, fast data backup solution. Backup and restore entire database servers or individual database objects, restore data to any SQL server, report on backup and restore status' and easily deploy - enterprise-wide - with the easy to use remote installation capability. LiteSpeed for SQL Server's advanced compression ratio is up to 40:1 compared with 20:1 for native backup, enabling highly efficent storage of data and greatly reduced backup times.

LiteSpeed's backup functionality can be controlled through an intuitive user interface, special TSQL functions or through a command line executable.

Main Features

Fast, High Compression Backups

• Reduces storage footprint by up to 40x and decreases backup times significantly from hours to minutes, while allowing users to maintain a high level of recoverability without compromising security
• LiteSpeed offers 10 levels of compression, allowing you to configure for optimum performance for your individual environment. Compressing data on the fly during the backup process allows you to reduce backup file size, saving storage (disk, tape, etc.), reducing bandwidth requirements when transferring files across the network and maximizing your storage investment

Object-level Recovery

• LiteSpeed allows you to restore individual objects (i.e. tables, stored procedures, views, etc.) allowing you to restore only the objects that are needed and avoid disrupting user access to the database. LiteSpeed is the only SQL backup solution to offer this feature
• LiteSpeed allows you to create a database backup file that can be restored simply by ‘double clicking’ the backup file (launching the LiteSpeed portable executable).
