Product Information
Business Productivity Online Suite (BPOS) is a set of messaging and collaboration solutions hosted by Microsoft and consists of Exchange Online, SharePoint Online, Office Live Meeting and Office Communications Online. These online services are designed to give your business streamlined communication with high availability, comprehensive security and simplified IT management. Your business benefits from always up-to-date technologies that are deployed rapidly, maximising your valuable IT resources and reducing your need for infrastructure investments.
These Microsoft hosted solutions are available individually as Exchange Online, SharePoint Online, Office Live Meeting & Office Communication Online or as a suite with Business Productivity Online Standard Suite. The suite offering represents a saving of up to 40% over purchasing the included products individually.
Trial and Purchase
All purchases of licences for these services is direct with Microsoft through their Online Services Portal.
You can download and take advantage of a free 30 day trial for BPOS - you will need to ensure you have a Windows Live ID account to register for the trial.
It is possible to go directly to the Microsoft Online Services Customer Portal to try or buy. When you get to the buy section we request that you identify Grey Matter as the Partner of Record (using 'add/Edit POR' option) and either enter our Company Name or use our Partner ID which is 501411. Licensing

All licensing of BPOS services (or individual online services) are per user through a User Subscription License (USL). A USL is valid for the term of the subscription (a subscription term is normally 12 months and can be automatically renewed). In some cases, USLs also include an on-premise CAL (Client Access License) so, for example, if a user has a USL for SharePoint Online, they have a CAL for accessing on-premise SharePoint servers.
Deskless Worker editions are also available for Exchange Online and SharePoint Online. These are lower cost licences that come with reduced storage and functionality. They are intended for workers who spend most of their time away from a computer or do not dedicate the majority of their time to a single computer.
