Infragistics NetAdvantage for jQuery includes a range of standards-compliant controls with rich functionality and high performance. Based on HTML5 and CSS3 technologies, it comes with a range of client-side controls including the igGrid to examine, filter, page and sort through tabular data, igDataSource to handle heavy lifting data operations, and HTML5 igVideoPlayer to offer streaming online video playback with support for embeddable advertising.

NetAdvantage for jQuery includes an annual subscription with developer support, source code, all updates and upgrades, documentation and samples.

Client controls

• Grid - allows end users to examine, filter, page and sort through tabular data presented using jQuery templates, with superior performance and a first-class user experience
• Data source - handles the heavy lifting data operations such as paging, sorting and filtering, both on the client and on the server. It easily ties-in to use RESTful Domain Data Services, WCF, OData, static HTML tables, and anything that can be supplied as JSON or XML (with or without namespaces)

ASP.NET MVC helpers

A full set of extensions have been added to the client controls, and these helpers will enable ASP.NET MVC developers to take full advantage of the Visual Studio 2010 development environment to build out full-blown Model View Controller applications.

Microsoft Word Library

With the new Word Library you have the ability to create and work with Microsoft Word document files. This compiled assembly for .NET features the ability to write out styled text, hyperlinks, images, tables and shapes. In addition, there are document-specific features that allow you to specify the page size, margins, page breaks, and set header/footer information. You can easily integrate this library into your Web applications.

Microsoft Excel Library

With the new Excel Library you have the ability to create and work with Microsoft Excel workbook files in ExcelML and BIFF8 (.XLS) formats that are compatible with Excel 97 and later. The extensive object model in this compiled assembly for .NET mirrors the layout, formatting and behavior of Excel spreadsheets, including the ability to work with worksheets, formulas, frozen panes, formatting strings and much more.

Infragistics Documents Library (PDF/XPS)

You also have a compiled assembly for .NET with support for creating Adobe Portable Document Format (PDF) and Microsoft Extensible Paper Specification (XPS) document formats, so you can make your content readable by any of the millions of PDF and XPS-supporting applications. The interface-driven, easy to program against object model abstracts away low-level document format details so you can write PDF and XPS files with a professional layout.

IG Theme

The IG Theme was created to allow Web application developers a complete visual theme that allows them to create and style modern applications, without relying on the Microsoft Office brand.

Theme Roller Compatible

All controls and components in NetAdvantage for jQuery are Theme Roller style ready, so a developer or a designer could use their existing knowledge of working with Theme Roller styling from jQuery UI, and apply Theme Roller styles to Infragistics’ client controls very easily.
