• Studio for Entity Framework is a new product included in this release. It enhances the Microsoft ADO.NET Entity Framework and RIA Services (Silverlight) with a set of data components that improve and simplify data binding by providing advanced loading, paging, filtering and saving capabilities.

New in ComponentOne Studio for ASP.NET Wijmo 2011 V3

• New Gauge control - new linear and radial gauges provide rich data visualisations powered by HTML5 and jQuery. Easily customisable, they support tick marks, labels, ranges and more. The gauges work in IE6+, Firefox, Chrome and Safari.
• New chart types - the HTML5 chart types have been expanded with new area, bubble, composite, scatter and spline types. The new composite chart control enables you to put multiple charts on a single chart surface. The new charts continue to offer interactive features like animations, transitions and tooltips and they support IE6+.
• New HTML5 editor - provides a Microsoft Word-like editing experience for HTML content in either a design, source code or a split view. It also supports BBCode, spell-checking and more.
• New Multimedia controls - new multimedia controls provide interactive ways of displaying media. A lightbox control provides a pop-up image viewer, a gallery control can display a range of photos and images and a carousel control provides an interactive UI for navigating photos/videos.
• New HTML 5 video player - provides an interactive version of the browser's video player. It supports all common functionality such as volume, play, pause and a timeline.

• Now includes Reports for .NET Designer Edition - no longer available for purchase standalone, Reports for .NET Designer Edition is included in Studio for WinForms, Studio Enterprise and ComponentOne Ultimate. It provides Microsoft Access-like report creation and design through a familiar user interface. You get unlimited distribution rights of the C1ReportDesigner application and the components used within.
• Time line scheduler view - a new time line view in the Scheduler for WinForms control displays appointments in a horizontal layout - time is displayed horizontally and groups are arranged vertically - just like in Outlook 2010.
• New SplitContainer control - create multi-panel layouts with support for resizing and collapsing content using the new SplitContainer for WinForms control. It is similar to the standard SplitContainer control but supports more than two panels, headers, visual styles, and collapse buttons.
• Excel enhancements - support for XLT formats (Excel templates).
• FlexGrid enhancements - now includes GetLocalizedString event for filter UI localisation and includes Persian (Farsi) localisation.
