Data archiving
Provides an easy method to identify data based on parameters such as age or last access date and move that data to secondary storage. You can recover the data via Archive Manager if you need it.
Backup to cloud storage
Provides a simple interface as part of the CA ARCserve Backup graphical user interface (GUI) to set up cloud storage as a secondary site for CA ARCserve Backup storage.
Snapshot and file-level backup
Enables you to use a combination of snapshot-based backups (CA ARCserve D2D) and traditional file-based backups (CA ARCserve Backup) that populate a single backup catalog for quick and easy restore anywhere. They are all monitored via a single console window.
Synthetic full backup
Performs a full backup. Incremental backups are then run and synthesized to create a full backup of the data as it originally appeared at the recovery point. This enables you to recover as if each backup was a full backup, resulting in faster and easier recovery of data.
Migrate CA ARCserve D2D backups to tape via the CA ARCserve Backup console
Enables you to clone CA ARCserve D2D backups to tape media, catalog with CA ARCserve Backup and enable recovery via the CA ARCserve Backup console to provide long-term, off-site storage for CA ARCserve D2D backups and a single point of management.
Disaster recovery option uses WinPE
Now uses WinPE to drive the bare-metal restore process, including support for iSCSI disks, the Windows Server 2008 cluster and x86, x64 and IA64 platforms.
Enhanced tape management
Enables you to optimise disk and tape usage with new media maximisation, media consolidation and Append Days Options that can be easily added to the backup job.
