Product Information

BizTalk Server is Microsoft’s integration and connectivity server solution. A mature product on its seventh release, BizTalk Server 2010 provides a solution that allows organisations to more easily connect disparate systems. Including over 25 multi-platform adapters and a robust messaging infrastructure, BizTalk Server provides connectivity between core systems both inside and outside your organisation. In addition to integration functionality, BizTalk also provides strong durable messaging, a rules engine, EDI connectivity, Business Activity Monitoring (BAM), RFID capabilities and IBM Host/Mainframe connectivity.

Editions

Enterprise Edition
Designed for customers with enterprise-level requirements for high volume, reliability, and availability. This edition supports unlimited applications and an unlimited number of physical processors.

Standard Edition
Designed for businesses with moderate volume and deployment scale requirements. This edition supports five applications and up to two physical processors.

Branch Edition
Specialty version of BizTalk Server designed for hub and spoke deployment scenarios including RFID. The Branch Edition provides a subset of BizTalk Server functionality appropriate for intra-enterprise hub-and-spoke scenarios. This edition supports one application and up to two physical processors.

Developer Edition
Limited to development and testing purposes only, the Developer Edition is the ideal solution for application development in preproduction environments. Plus it's available for free. This edition supports unlimited applications.

Note: In the 2010 release the BizTalk Adapter Pack edition has been merged with the BizTalk Server 2010 Standard Edition. Customers that want to use the BizTalk Adapter Pack must purchase either the BizTalk Server 2010 Enterprise or Standard Edition.
