Product Information
Altova MapForce 2012 R2 is a graphical data mapping, conversion, and integration tool. It maps between any combination of XML, database, flat file, EDI, Excel 2007+, XBRL, and/or Web service, then transforms data instantly or autogenerates royalty-free code for the execution of recurrent conversions. Languages for code generation include XSLT 1.0, XSLT 2.0, XQuery, Java, C#, and C++. MapForce is available in 32-bit and 64-bit versions and integrates seamlessly with Visual Studio and Eclipse.

- Ability to sort mapping data by various criteria - sorting of database input is also supported via a new SQL-WHERE/ORDER function
- Support for logical files in IBM iSeries databases - users can map data both to and from logical files in IBM iSeries databases.

- Native Support for HIPAA 5010 - HIPAA is based on the X12 EDI 5010 standard, but has its own specialised deviations that are now natively supported by MapForce 2011 Release 3
- Command line extensions - render HTML, Microsoft Word, and PDF files based on MapForce output through integration with StyleVision and an associated SPS stylesheet. MapForce 2011 Release 3 makes this functionality available through new command line options
- Support for .NET 4 in built-in execution - expand the data processing function library by adding external .NET 4 functions
- Support for XML digital signatures - assign digital signatures to XML documents via XML Signature technology.

- Direct file output (data streaming) - direct file output gives your ETL projects a huge performance boost with the ability to stream XML, CSV, and FLF file output
- Expandable if-else component (switch statement) - the if-else component in MapForce has been redesigned to accommodate for any number of variables
- Ability to process different EDI message types in a single mapping - define a single mapping to accommodate an EDI file that contains multiple message types
- Reverse existing mapping - enables you to automatically reverse the direction of mappings that have already been created
- Ability to execute SQL statements prior to database output - execute SQL statements before the result of your database mappings is written to database tables
- New parsing functions - Two additional parsing functions have been added to the MapForce Function Library: parse-number and parse-dateTime.
Licensing
Installed User Licence
Install and use the Altova software of any PC up to the number of licenses purchased. For example, if you purchase a 5 User Installed License, you may install and run the Software on 5 machines and all 5 users can use the software at any given point in time.
Named User Licence
Per each Named User Licence, one individual may install and use the Altova software on up to 5 computers, provided they are the sole user of the software and are not using more than one copy at any one time.
Concurrent User Licence
Install the Altova software on any number of PC's up to 10 times the number of licenses purchased, provided that only the permitted numbers of users use the software at the same time.
For example, if you purchase a 5 User Concurrent License, you may install the Software on up to 50 machines (Permitted Number of Users 5 multiplied by 10 = 50). Although the Software maybe installed on up to 50 machines, only 5 users may use the software at any given point in time.

Subscriptions
Purchase of the Altova Support and Maintenance Package (SMP) provides you with a range of benefits including free updates and technical support.
SMP provides:
- Free access to new releases and maintenance updates during your active subscription period (specific to the product (s) you own).
- Priority technical support via a web-based support form. Typical response times are 1-2 business days within Europe.
- Mechanism to report bugs and software faults directly to Altova.
SMP is available as either a yearly purchase, or a 2 year purchase and must be purchased at the same time, or within 30 days, of purchasing an Altova product. SMP can be renewed but must be done so before your existing subscription expires (up to 90 days in advance). It is strongly recommended that you purchase SMP with your product.
