Product Information

Microsoft Office Excel 2010 is a powerful tool you can use to create and format spreadsheets, and analyse and share information to make more informed decisions. With new features in Excel 2010 such as sparkline charts for quick data analysis, slicers for improving data filtering, new mobile capabilities and co-authoring capabilities, you can analyse and share information in more ways than ever before.

New Features

Excel 2010 introduces and PivotTables themselves have been enhanced with improved performance, OLAP write-back support, named and dynamic set support and PowerPivot - a freely available Excel 2010 addin to process large datasets in seconds.

Sparklines

Sparklines are small single-cell charts that can quickly provide a visual representation of some data. There are available in three formats: line, column and win/loss.

Slicers

Slicers can improve data analysis when using PivotTables and CUBE functions. They make it significantly easier to filter your data in an interactive way and a single Slicer can filter multiple PivotTables.

PowerPivot

PowerPivot is a freely downloadable add-in that is designed to handle very large amounts of data (i.e. millions of rows). PowerPivot enables you to interactively explore, calculate and summarise that data via PivotTables, PivotCharts, slicers and other Excel features. PowerPivot also integrates with SQL Server and Microsoft SharePoint.

New Mobile Capabilities

With the new Office Web Apps, you can view and edit Excel spreadsheets using just your browser. And with Excel Mobile 2010 you can view and make edits to spreadsheets on your Windows Mobile device.

New Backstage View

The new Backstage view available from the Office Ribbon UI provides logical access to functions related to the maintenance and administration of your Excel files. It's completely extensible so Office developers can add functionality that integrates with your own back-office systems.

Improved Conditional Formatting

Enhanced conditional formatting features include more control over styles and icons, improved data bars and support for using data bars with negative values.

64-bit Support

For users dealing with the largest spreadsheets (2GB+ in size), the new 64-bit version of Excel can deal with and analyse data faster.
