ComServer is based on SQL databases and components. With ComServer users can build database front-ends and have the power to assemble personal database front ends through components. ComServer is adaptable and users can set it up without any programming. You can use ComServer to migrate data; integrate your standard operating procedures; edit and print reports for various data views; export data and create a software portal. ComServers programming is 'object property' oriented. A Class Broker , an Object Broker and various Observers administer the components and objects. Each component has a defined interface. Changes pass from observers to connected objects in real time. Each object runs in its own threads: while the computer is evaluating the user is free to continue with other tasks. Data changes pass "on the fly" between objects which are all on the same level. Macro programming is now yesterday's technology.

ComServer includes the following standard components:
  • database connections including definitions for related variables (e.g. report paths)
  • SQL scripts (statements) for data import, export and migration
  • SQL Grid (with wizard to create grid)
  • SQL Master-Detail editor (with wizard)
  • Crystal Reports SQL statement to edit data
  • Crystal Reports export / print
  • linkage to programmed "add ins" (exe-files, documents)
