New Netware Operating System Backup Agent

Mid Sequence Restore Enhancement
To allow a user to restore sessions from any sequence of tape as an independent restore job (this enhancement makes ARCserve for NetWare consistent with other ARCserve platforms)

User Profiles Update
To enable different ARCserve user security levels to be defined to provide role based security and allows users to customise access to different parts of the ARCserve manager functions (integrates with NDS).

Novell Open Enterprise Services (OES) Updates to Linux
Via a new OES Agent (available October 2005) to allow the following backup services:

  • Backup OES NetWare Services to SuSE Linux Enterprise Servers
  • Backup OES Linux Services to SuSE Linux Enterprise Servers
  • Cross Platform Backup Restore of Novell OES Services
  • Media compatibility – to ensure NetWare OES and Linux OES Backup Media will be readable on both NetWare and SuSE Linux ARCserve Managers
