EMC® Retrospect® 7.5 for Windows is designed to deliver automated, reliable, cost-effective protection for small and medium businesses (SMBs) and the distributed enterprise. Retrospect has won numerous awards and broad industry acclaim by addressing the unique challenges faced by SMBs and distributed enterprises in these critical areas:
- Protects servers, business-critical applications, desktops, and notebooks
- Backs up Windows, Macintosh, Linux, Solaris, and NetWare computers to a Windows computer
- Easy to set up and manage
- No need for weekly full backups
- Simplified management of backup media
- Disk-to-disk-to-tape backups
- Highest level of security for backup media
- Disaster recovery
Designed for small and midsize businesses and distributed enterprises protecting three or more servers, Retrospect Multi Server Edition runs on a Windows server and provides licenses to protect an unlimited number of networked Windows, Macintosh, Linux, and Solaris servers, desktops, and notebooks. Proven automated technology makes backups and restores easy, fast, and accurate. Multi Server protects against data loss due to viruses, newly installed software, user errors, damaged hardware, hardware upgrades, loss, or theft. Add-ons enable backup and restore of open files and business-critical applications, and complete disaster recovery. |
Retrospect for home and home office environments
- Retrospect for Windows Professional Edition

Select from four Retrospect editions to meet the needs of your business environment:
- Retrospect Multi Server protects an unlimited number of networked servers, desktops, and notebooks.
- Retrospect Single Server protects one server and an unlimited number of networked desktops and notebooks. Licenses can be purchased to protect additional networked servers.
- Retrospect Small Business Server protects a server running Windows Small Business Server plus an unlimited number of networked desktops and notebooks. Licenses can be purchased to protect additional networked servers.
- Retrospect Disk-to-Disk protects a single server backing up to disk, CD, or DVD only. Licenses can be purchased to protect additional networked servers, desktops, and notebooks.
Annual Support and Maintenance
Annual Support and Maintenance (ASM) is more convenient and cost-effective than Per-Incident Support and Product Upgrades. Customers can purchase ASM for each EMC product. ASM includes a year of unlimited support from EMC technical experts to assist with installation, usage, or upgrade of the product Monday through Friday between 6 AM and 5 PM Pacific Time Monday-Tuesday and 6 AM to 4 PM Pacific Time on Fridays, plus free upgrades to new versions of the product within that year. This support option is available bundled with electronic licenses of EMC and EMC add-ons at the time of purchase, or it can be purchased separately within 30 days. After 30 days, only Per-Incident Support may be purchased. Annual Support and Maintenance commences on the purchase date of the corresponding product. If Annual Support and Maintenance is purchased for one licensed product, then it must be purchased for all licensed products at the time of purchase.
Per-Incident Support
Support can be purchased on a per-incident basis. Per-Incident Support packs activate at the time of purchase and expire in one year. A support incident remains open until it is resolved or closed. Please see the table later on this page for details.
