Licensing and delivery

InstallShield, AdminStudio and InstallAnywhere can either be ordered on DVD or as an ESD (Electronic Software Download) product. When you purchase you will be sent a confirmation email that provides a download link for the product itself.

InstallShield, AdminStudio and InstallAnywhere licences are generally sold as node-locked licences. This means the licence is tied to a specific user and machine and cannot be shared between multiple computers or users. Concurrent licensing is also available which means the licence(s) can be shared by multiple users up to the number of the licences purchased. Concurrent licensing requires that you have a licensing server which manages how many instances of the product can be run simultaneously. Concurrent licence pricing is available upon request.

Upgrade eligibility

Flexera Software periodically end of life older products which means they can no longer be used for an upgrade unless you have an active maintenance contract. Once obsolete, the product is not sold, manufactured, improved, repaired, maintained or supported.
