Licensing and delivery
All Embarcadero products are delivered as ESD (Electronic Software Download). You will be sent a serial number and a link to download the product.
Standard ESD licenses are named user licences that are tied to individuals. These licences are also available in 5 and 10 packs for some Embarcadero products. Network named licences function in a similar fashion but are managed over a network. You can also purchase concurrent licences which can be used by anyone in your company provided no more than the number of concurrent licences purchased are in use at any one time. Management of network named and concurrent licences requires the AppWave licence server.
Academic licences are also available for some Embarcadero products - they are limited to academic non-commercial usage and are
not upgradable.
Software Maintenance
By purchasing maintenance and support with your product you get a range of benefits, including:
- Access to product updates and upgrades during your maintenance and support agreement
- Uninterrupted access to technical support via phone and email
- Uninterrupted access to online technical resources.
For most products maintenance and support is an optional purchase. Please contact us for more information on purchasing software maintenance.
