When you have found the product you are looking for, click the "add to basket" button and the product will be added to your shopping basket. Search Bar
Type in a search word or term and our search engine will deliver clearly defined results for you to browse or help you refine your search. You can also search our system with catalogue numbers, parent ids or manufacturer part codes.
Our site is designed to deliver all the relevant information on a product you would wish to find.
Breadcrumb
The first line of product information under the search bar is the breadcrumb trail. This is your browsing position in our catalogue, and you can move up the breadcrumb trail by clicking on the section.
On the product description pages, we repeat the breadcrumb at the bottom of the page for your convenience.
Product Links
Next to the product title and box shot you will find links to the publisher's page, a "call me about this product" form, other products by the publisher, and similar products. You will also be able to find further information in the documents and downloads section.

System Requirements
This page lists the details of system requirements for running the software. This may include recommended specifications.
The first time you place an order with Grey Matter you will need to register. To register, you will need to give us your email address, a password and your contact details (the mandatory fields marked with an asterisk). We will use your email address as your login name, however you can change this once you have activated your account. The password must be 6 or more alpha numeric characters i.e. pa55w0rd. Do NOT exceed the maximum field length of 64 characters.
Lost Passwords
If you lose your password click through to the log in page and select "lost password". Enter your email address or your user name and we will send your password to your registered email address. If you think your password has been compromised it can be changed in my account
To make your selection, find the product that you want to buy.
Click "add to basket" to add the item to your shopping basket.
Each time you click the "add to basket" button you are adding items to your basket. If you are logged in, you can create specific shopping lists or baskets. In the basket mini view at the top right of the screen, the total quantity and cost is displayed. You can continue adding items to your basket at any time.
Complete the order
Click on the "View Basket" link in the summary basket to access the full shopping basket. Here you can change quantities, or remove items from your list. You can also download a formal quote valid for 5 days, upon entering mandatory information.
Proceed to Checkout
Once you've finished shopping press this button under your list.
If this is your first order and you don't have an account you will have to register with us before you can continue.

Now you see a complete detailed view of your list
You can amend your delivery and invoice addresses, select your Purchase order number and VAT number. You can choose specialist delivery options from a drop down list and add any special notes or instructions.
Mandatory details
This page collects the mandatory details needed to complete the order.
This could include company name, email address, previous licence keys for upgrades, etc. You have to complete mandatory information for each product as you could be buying for more than one user.
Confirm order
Click "next" to double check and then complete your order.
On this screen you can see the order details, shipping charges and the Value Added Tax. Clicking "next" confirms your order. Please ensure you have read our Terms and Conditions.
Payment details
"Previous Card", this refers to your saved credit cards and the drop down enables you to select one. If you are not using a saved credit card, please add your details as instructed on screen. You can store this credit card as your default card for shopping with Grey Matter. These credit card details are stored on your machine and are only processed by us for payment of orders. The "next" click confirms your order, please ensure you have read our terms and conditions before continuing.
Order complete
This page is a digital receipt of your transaction, detailing the products that you have just bought, your invoice, delivery and contact addresses, the shipping details and a breakdown of the costs. This page can be printed or select "finish" to take you back to the home page. You can request copy invoices from your account details.

From the shopping basket you can create formal quotations that are valid for 5 days. Select the text "request a quote" above the "proceed to checkout" button on the shopping basket screen.
You will need to complete any mandatory information required
You can also add your own quote reference number, your VAT number, any specific notes as well as being able to select one of many specialist delivery options.
Clicking "next" here will give you the completed quote. The quote has a date reference and is valid for 5 days from that date.
You can print the quote, complete the quote to an order, or return back to shopping by clicking "finish".

Delivery to mainland UK addresses is free.
If the goods are in stock and you place your order which is accepted by us before 4.00pm you will normally receive them the next working day. If we are unable to deliver your goods within the specified time for whatever reason we will try to contact you to arrange an alternative time for delivery.
We always ship your goods by express overnight courier as soon as we receive them so with large orders you might receive a part-shipment. If you do not wish to receive part-shipments then please let us know when you place your order.
We cannot deliver to PO Box numbers.
For delivery outside mainland UK, shipping is charged at a flat rate per destination and does not vary by the size of the order or the number of shipments that your order might comprise. Please contact us for delivery charges.
Our priority is to get your products to you as quickly as possible but we will not be liable to you for late delivery as we are dependent on our suppliers and shippers.
If you need to track an order contact our customer service team or have them call you back by using the "call me" button. If you find that your order has only been partially delivered, this may be because you have accepted a part shipment. However, if your order is obviously incomplete, over-delivered or damaged, or if you wish to change or cancel your order, please contact our customer services team.

Here you can see your order history. The dropdown menu allows you to change the date criteria.
Quotes
You can view your quotes and you can turn your quotes into orders from this page. The dropdown menu allows you to change the date criteria.
Lists
This is an overview of all the shopping lists that you have created. Click on the baskets to access and amend them.
Our credit account service aims to increase productivity and flexibility in your purchasing options. A credit account may be opened by selected incorporated businesses with a minimum of three years trading or UK Government departments, Education, Health Authorities and M.O.D.
If you have a credit account with us payment is due 30 days after the date of our invoice.
If you are a corporate customer and would like to open a 30 day credit account, please register on the site first. After registration, you may request a credit account by going to your user profile and selecting the payment tab. There is a link on this page that will transfer you to the credit account application.
Grey Matter have technically trained account managers that can sell and advise you on the right software. Our account managers provide a primary point of contact for your company and act as a personal advisor for all your software needs. Unlike most resellers, our account managers do not receive individual commission. This ensures that you always get quoted the right product for your company.

Payment
You will not be charged until each item you order is ready for dispatch. The payment can be made by credit card, debit card or corporate credit account. Before confirming your order we carry out a standard pre-authorisation check on your card to ensure the funds are available for your transaction. This process reserves the funds in your account. We are registered with the Data Protection Registrar and we comply with all current data protection and consumer legislation. We consider all of your personal information as confidential and we will not share your information with third parties apart from the purposes of supplying the goods or for our own data cleaning purposes. Security
We use SSL encryption for your personal information to ensure it is protected to the highest standards. When you enter the checkout area, you will see a closed padlock or an unbroken key icon in the bottom right hand of your browser window. Some browsers will also indicate secure encryption by highlighting the browsers' URL address window. Please click on the VeriSign Seal at the bottom of the page to verify our site security.
Grey Matter strives to keep pricing cost effective for you. We track our competitors on standard pricing. We have a bids team who look after tenders, and account managers who look after large quotes.
Lots of products we sell have complex pricing mechanisms. These are priced on application which is indicated by PLEASE CALL instead of BUY NOW.
You can also change your browsing and shopping currency from Sterling (£GBP) to Euros (EUR) and Dollars ($USD)
Licensing can be complicated. If you are unsure about anything or even if you just have a simple question it is well worth contacting our licensing department. All of our sales people are trained and all hold licensing and software sales accreditations, they also don't claim individual commission ensuring you get the right advice first time, every time.

Before returning anything to Grey Matter you will need to obtain an RMA number from us. We cannot accept returns without an RMA number. Contact customer services to request an RMA number as soon as you realise you need to return an item. Please see our terms and conditions for more information on the Returns Procedure.
