The Role
Grey Matter, a motivated and successful software reseller, is looking to expand its internal sales force in the UK and requires a Sales Account Manager to create a portfolio of long term business accounts, through profiling, prospecting and developing the opportunities through outbound telephone activity. You will be a results orientated sales professional seeking a challenging dynamic environment which rewards team contribution and commitment.
Key Tasks and Responsibilities
- Research and successfully contact via outbound calling to prospective accounts, to reach and profile software decision makers.
- Take personal responsibility for and actively engage in product, systems and skills training and development, including passing Microsoft and Symantec sales exams.
- In conjunction with the Sales Manager, create, monitor and revise your account penetration.
- Take personal responsibility for determining and satisfying the dynamic product needs of your accounts ensuring total client satisfaction as the basis for further business.
- Produce GP (Gross Profit) in line with current company run rate targets.
- Uphold and live the Grey Matter core values of trust, software know how and excellent customer service.
- Actively participate in Product Marketing campaigns.
- Report on daily plans, status on quotes/orders/new contacts, and account profitability.
Skills Required
- The key attributes will be attention to detail, efficiency, accuracy, customer liaison and dialogue and the ability to cope with a high workload and to stay calm and assured under pressure.
- Good English verbal and written communication.
- Ability to show initiative and good entrepreneurial spirit.
- A self motivated and a driven character, being capable of working under minimal supervision on stated goals/KPIs and with good time management skills.
- Demonstrate interest in learning and understanding the Grey Matter software products catalogue.
- Candidates must be eligible to work and live in the UK.

Job Summary
To support the sales teams by:
- carrying out the administrative functions of the sales order process, to enable the timely, efficient and accurate processing of orders, so as to provide customers with the highest level of service in the handling of their order.
- acting as point of contact for the customer in respect of any queries, to advise of ETAs and deal with any delivery, returns or other issues that may arise.
Main Tasks and Responsibilities
- Order processing & enter orders onto the system.
- Follow up "Held Orders" to clear any queries or outstanding issues.
- Customer service:
- Answer Sales Ops phone calls.
- Answer overflow sales calls.
- Respond to customer queries and instigate and follow through any actions required.
- Take ownership of issues to ensure that they are resolved in an expedient manner.
- Back order reports & respond to back order report requests as required.
- Returns & progress order returns to ensure that deadlines are met, thereby minimising potential loss to both customer and the company.
- Quoting & respond to both phone and email requests for pricing.
- Cover for Sales Ops and Sales roles & provide cover as required in event of absence of team members.
- Filing & file sales orders in accordance with the filing system in place.
- Renewals & assist with the renewals notification process and follow up.
