Total Access Statistics offers a wide range of statistical functions for Microsoft Access users and developers. Developed specifically for Microsoft Access, Total Access Statistics eliminates the need to export your data to other programs for statistical analysis.

Total Access Statistics is installed as a Microsoft Access Add-in and runs directly from your database through the File/Add-ins menu. Using the Total Access Statistics Wizard, you can quickly analyse your data without programming. Best of all, all results are in Microsoft Access tables. View, sort, or query the results, merge it with other data, or add it to forms and reports.

Total Access Statistics can also be added to your Microsoft Access applications. If you are a developer and need statistical analysis in your database, you can by-pass the Wizard and add all the statistical features directly into your application with a simple procedure call.

Variants are available for Access 2.0, Access 95, Access 97 or Access 2000

New features for Total Access Statistics version 2007

Supports Microsoft Access 2007

  • Runs as an add-in within Access 2007. Launches from the Database Tools, Add-ins ribbon.
  • Supports the new Access 2007 database format (*.ACCDB), in addition to MDB and ADP databases.
  • Ships with a new 182 page user manual.
  • Includes a new online, context sensitive help file.

Access 2007 User Interface Enhancements

  • A cleaner, more modern user interface with support for Vista and Office/Access 2007 styles, fonts, color schemes, transparent buttons with icons, datasheets with alternating colors, etc.
  • Support for Tabbed Documents windows options including resizable forms
  • Enlarged screens show more options and fields to select.
  • Field data type names are now localised in non-English versions of Access.

Access Data Projects (ADP) Support

Data in Access Data Projects (ADP) can now be analysed. Perform statistical analysis on your SQL Server data with results stored in SQL Server tables. Data sources can be views, stored procedures, and user defined functions.
Previously, Total Access Statistics only supported Access MDB/Jet databases which could be linked to SQL Server.

Use Parameterised Data Sources

All the statistical analyses now support parameterised queries as the data source. For ADPs, data sources may be stored procedures and user defined functions with parameters.

New Running Totals Calculations

Calculate running averages, sums, counts, etc. for a sorted list of values and placing the values in a field in your table. The running value can be for all records or a moving set of records such as the running average over the last 10 records.
The values are stored directly in your data source in the fields you specify. Up to five fields can be updated at one time.

Enhanced Regression Analysis

For Regressions, the estimated Y value can now be added directly into a field in your data source. This is available where there's only one regression equation calculated at a time such as a multiple regression or a simple or polynomial regression with only one independent (X) field.

Enhanced Percentile Analysis

For Percentiles, a new option is available to assign percentile values to records. If there are multiple percentile values for the same record's value, you can choose to assign the low or high percentile to that record. Previously, it always assigned the low value.

Date Analysis

Date fields can now be used to perform percentile calculations and frequency distributions.

Programmatic Interface Enhancements

A new option is available in the Statistics Function to let you specify the table containing parameters for parameterised data sources.

Wide Range of Statistical Functions

Easily perform a wide variety of powerful calculations including regressions, percentiles, frequency distributions, correlations, t-tests, confidence intervals, crosstabs, ANOVA, group analysis, non-parametrics, Chi-Square, probability, random record selection, ranking records, table normalisation, and more.

Parametric Analysis

  • Field Descriptives
  • Percentiles
  • Frequency Distributions
  • Field Comparison
  • Matrix Comparison
  • Regressions (Simple, Multiple, Polynomial)
  • Crosstabs and Chi-Square
  • Running Totals

Record Analysis

  • Random record selection
  • Normalise Spreadsheet-like Data
  • Rank records and handle ties

Group Analysis

  • Two-sample t-Tests
  • ANOVA (Analysis of Variance)
  • Two-way ANOVA

Non-Parametric Analysis

  • One sample Chi-Square
  • One sample and paired sign test
  • K-S Goodness of Fit
  • Wilcoxon Signed Rank Test
  • Wald-Wolfowitz Runs Test
  • K-S Two Sample Test
  • K-W Analysisk of Variance
  • Friedman's Two Way ANOVA

No Programming Required

An interactive Wizard interface guides you through the process with no programming required! All results are generated in the most flexible format: Access tables. Easily display the results in your forms and reports. Your analysis settings are automatically saved so you can modify them later or run them again when your data changes.

Total Access Statistics is licensed on a per user basis. Each user who runs the program must have a license.

Total Access Statistics includes a runtime library with royalty-free redistribution rights. Use is subject to the terms of the license agreement.

The requirements for Total Access Statistics are similar to those of Microsoft Access:
  • Any Windows version supported by the version of Access
  • Microsoft recommended memory for Access and your data
  • Less than 10 MB of disk space for Total Access Statistics

Total Access Statistics supports any desktop or network installation of Access.
