IP*Works! SSH (formerly IP*Works! S/Shell) has undergone major redesign and is a departure from the previous IP*Works! S/Shell V7 base. Instead of Secure Shell (SSH) enabled components with individual Internet protocol support, the IP*Works! SSH package has been generalised with the new SSH Tunneling. Built on top of the highly evolved IP*Works! V8 core, the IP*Works! SSH V8 components represent a substantial leap forward in design, performance, and new functionality. Design features like native streams and object collections sit on top of a highly-evolved code base, updated and optimised for each individual supported development technology. In addition, enterprise features like IPv6 addressing and support for 64-bit architectures have been enabled to make your connectivity application compatible with current and future technologies.
- CertMgr - New certificate management component with support for certificate extensions, extended key usage, and new certificate store types.
- SFTP - The SFTP component can be used to transfer files to and from SFTP servers using the SFTP Protocol.
- SExec - The SExec component is used to remotely execute a command on an SSH server.
- SShell - The SShell component is used to open a shell connection to an SSH server.
- SSHClient - Generic TCP stream client component. Asynchronous architecture. SSH-enabled.
- SSHTunnel - The SSHTunnel component is used to open a shell connection to an SSH server.
- Support for IPv6 addressing
- Support for 64-bit architectures
- Steamlined component set with new SSHTunnel
- SSH security features have been enabled (Oakely Group 14, MD5, MD5-96 and SHA1-96 HMACs)
In addition to the changes to the core IP*Works! SSH component set, performance has been greatly enhanced across the board and new SSH security features have been enabled (Oakley Group 14, MD5, MD5-96 and SHA1-96 HMACs).
