This is the eighth major release of OnTime, and it includes over 60 new features and a number of defect fixes. OnTime 2008 is a Team-Based Project Management Sytem for tracking software bugs, defects, issues, feature requests and helpdesk incidents. Designed with ASP.NET and SQL Server, OnTime provides a fast and scalable system for defect tracking (bug tracking) and feature management for teams of all sizes. OnTime features include ability to track projects and subprojects (parent/child), role and project-based security, custom fields, process enforcements, audit trails, fast search and filter, custom reporting and more.

Project-level Attachments
The new project-level attachments feature allows OnTime to be used as a repository for all project related files.

Project-level Custom Fields
OnTime's item-level customisation has been extended to the project level, giving you the flexibility of adding custom fields to projects, if desired.

Redesigned Customer and Contact Window
The Customer and Contact views have been merged into a single UI that makes the customer to contact relationship visually easy to see. Also finding customers and contacts is now easier than ever with the addition of the same Quick Search functionality.

Import Customers & Contacts
Now, customers and contacts can be imported into OnTime. New customers and contacts are added, and existing customers can be updated based on matching company names, URLs, and email addresses. Just like other importing capabilities in OnTime, fields are visually mapped from any existing CSV file to OnTime's default or custom fields. Field mapping can be saved for re-use. This is especially useful when importing / updating contact information from an external CRM application.

Custom Fields for Customers and Contacts
OnTime can now track any customer information you desire with the addition of customer and contact custom fields. Similar fields can be grouped together in tabs.

Email Templates
OnTime has the ability to send over 40 different types of email notifications. Now, these emails can be completely customised.

Drag & Drop Attachments
OnTime 2008 adds project-level attachments and drag and drop ability. The drag and drop functionality is especially useful when you want to attach a lot of files at once.

Hyperlink Custom Fields
OnTime's new hyperlink custom fields allows you to use hyperlinks that pass dynamic data to web apps and pages.

OnTime Professional is licensed and priced on a per named-user basis. The number of users you need is calculated based on the number of people who connect to the OnTime database using one or more of the OnTime clients. For example, if you expect 15 potential users connecting to the OnTime system, you will need a 15-user license of OnTime (it does not matter whether your potential 15 users are using OnTime concurrently - you still need 15 user licenses in this example).

OnTime Express is also licensed based on the number of named users who will be accessing the OnTime database, however, licenses are available in tiers: 1 (Free), 5, 10, 25, and Unlimited.
