Paragon NTFS for Linux driver is the unmatched solution based on the unique Paragon Technology, development expertise and in-depth industry knowledge. It offers full read/write access to NTFS partitions under Linux that solves a real communication problem based on difference between Windows and Linux file systems. Overcoming incompatibility of these two opposing operating systems, Paragon NTFS for Linux provides full transparency, high-performance and stability on various platforms and Linux cores being highly adjustable and productive.

  • Full read-write access. Unlike most of competing drivers where you can only read files from NTFS volumes, here you can also write - modify existing files, delete files, create or copy new files.
  • Mount any NTFS volume like any native one, even including into fstab (to automount at each Linux startup)
  • The 64 bit architecture support
  • Linux kernels 2.4.x, 2.6.x support
  • Supporting NTFS features (see also 'Limitations'):

- NTFS versions 1.2, 3.0 and 3.1 (Windows NT 4.0, 2000, XP, 2003, Vista)
- compressed files
- files and folders with security permissions - sparse files support (NTFS)
  • File and folder names in national languages (you can pass filesystem codepage name to driver), including Asian (hieroglyphic) languages
  • Easy installation - a script file is available which can build driver, install it, automatically mount all local NTFS volumes and place them into fstab to automount them at Linux startup.
  • No system degradation during data transfers
  • Support for SMP kernels (multiprocessor systems)
  • High performance. Transfer rate is the same as for native filesystems (10-15% performance loss could occur for highly fragmented NTFS volumes)
  • There is no any limitation to maximum file size (but within kernel and NTFS limitations)
Personal Edition includes the fully functional NTFS for Linux driver with maximum performance and stability. It also offers useful additional recovery bootable CD with the build-in driver. Using this CD, you can boot your system and access NTFS and Linux volumes with read and write access - change configuration files, add any driver, retrieve important documents by writing them onto any removable media or a network share.

Professional Edition besides the components included into Personal edition, offers additional utilities that provide the ability to check integrity, defragment, wipe, create NTFS volumes, perform many NTFS file system related tasks, copy (backup/restore) files/directories, saving all their attributes, between NTFS and Linux supported file systems under Linux OS. Professional edition also includes Paragon LDM (Logical Disk Manager) driver - mechanism that controls the ability to mount all Microsoft Dynamic Volumes (simple, spanned, striped, mirrored and RAID5) under Linux OS.
