• Allows the transferring of files from a server to the local machine (download), from the local machine to the server (upload) and from one server to another directly (site to site). Transfer could be invoked by specifying names or items in a folder

WS_FTP Software Development Kit (SDK) is available in 2 editions. WS_FTP Pro SDK and WS_FTP Secure SDK.

WS_FTP Pro Secure SDK 8.0 provides network administrators and software developers with the ability to leverage the advanced, secure file transfer capabilities of WS_FTP Pro such as Secure Sockets Layer (SSL) encryption and Secure File Transfer Protocol (SFTP) over Secure Socket Shell (SSH) using industry standard COM architecture.

• Connect to a server by specifying the URL addresses as ftp://user:password@ftp.ipswitch.com where the protocols supported are ftp, sftp, ftp-authssl, and ftps. The default protocol will be FTP.
• Supports internal firewall types found in WS_FTP Pro

• Select host type, firewall, and options for logging, SSL, and SSH
• Allows the user to handle SSL certificates and to control the servers authorized to connect to in SSL mode.

The WS_FTP Pro Secure SDK includes all features found in the WS_FTP Pro SDK.

Applications developed with previous versions of the WS_FTP Pro SDK will continue to work with WS_FTP Pro 5.0 and higher. Applications developed with Version 5.0 of the WS_FTP Pro SDK will work with previous versions of WS_FTP Pro, however, WS_FTP Pro SDK functions specifically marked "5.0" will not work with these previous versions.
