Monitoring
- Ensure that Windows services are running, restarting or alerting if not (e.g. key O/S services, SQL Server, Microsoft Exchange etc.)
- Ensure that other processes are running, restarting or alerting if not (e.g. anti-virus software)
- Be alerted to the use of unauthorised applications (e.g. Setup) and optionally terminate them (or alert) if found
Alerting
If problems are detected, Sentry-go can take the appropriate action automatically - e.g. to restart a failed service, terminate the rogue process etc. Alternatively, it can alert one or more Administrators or departments via e-mail, network message or your chosen means of delivery - e.g. by SMS or pager notification.
Reporting
With its fully integrated web server, you have immediate access to many HTML-based reports, direct from your desktop browser. Information comes directly from the monitoring & alerting engines either to show you what has happened recently on the server (e.g. recent alerts), or the real-time picture showing the current service/process status.
Configuring
Designed to be easy installed & configured, Sentry-go solutions get you up and monitoring in minutes. Many options are pre-configured, so you're monitoring key areas of the server straight away - simply edit the threshold limits to match your environment. For ultimate flexibility, however, all options can easily be controlled through the Configuration Utility.
