Polar SpellChecker Component adds a professional spell-checking capability to your Windows-based application supporting ActiveX/COM and DLL interface. It is fully .NET compatible.

Polar SpellChecker Component includes 14 dictionaries which are free to download and are fully functional with the trial version.

Licensing

  • One software license is required per developer machine.

New key features include:
  • Easy integration with RichEdit and Edit text controls - Now it is possible to turn standard Windows Edit and Rich Edit controls into a text editor with full spell checking capabilities using only one method call.
  • Simultaneous use of multiple dictionaries - It is possible to open more then one dictionary at the same time and perform the spell checking of a multilingual text.
  • SPT Builder - It enables the user to build dictionaries for any language, including those not supported by Windows.
  • As-you-type spell checking and auto correction.
  • Support for text statistics - TextStatistics object gives information about number of characters, non - whitespace characters, words and lines; number of misspelled words; detailed report about number of occurrences for words and phrases.
  • Autocorrect feature is a part of the spellchecker dll - Previously it was a separated dll.
  • Informing the developer through events about everything that is going on inside the component - User gets information about everything that goes on in text control SpellChecker is attached to through number of events. This feature enables high customization of Polar SpellChecker use.
  • New dictionaries (for 14 languages) based on new and refined word lists.
The number of licenses refers to the number of developers' machines and one software license is required per developer's machine. Re-distribution with your application is royalty free.
Also, a site licence is offered for an unlimited number of developers' machines at a single physical address.
