CodeMapper [2.x Win9x/NT/2000]

CodeMapper 2.x fits the way of work, expands productivity and speeds a project up. To obtain high quality documentation, developers don't need to add any special comments in their source code.

CodeMapper 2.x analyzes all C/C++ files of the project, extracts all declarations and builds up a documentation containing descriptions of these declarations. Additional tools for viewing class hierarchy and class browsing are provided.

CodeMapper 2.x is ready to be used with MS Visual C++TM, Borland C++ BuilderTM and UNIX C++ projects. A special template files can be loaded before starting a CodeMapper 2.x analysis. The template file to set up the analysis options can be chosen according to the compiler and framework, used by one of the above mentioned environments.

If you want to describe your features and hide your code, CodeMapper 2.x perfectly suits your needs. It is very useful tool if you sell or deliver your classes as LIB or DLL files and you need to describe your interface functions.

You can configure CodeMapper 2.x to analyze your C/C++ source code depending on the C/C++ compiler and framework that you have used. After finishing the analysis, CodeMapper 2.x generates a documentation of your C/C++ project and displays it in the Document view. You can export it in a rich text file , HTML or MS Word later. The generated document is consisted of sections with categories of declarations. Although there are default typographic conventions for the text in the various sections, CodeMapper 2.x lets you configure these settings at your own convenience. If you want you can change the text format of any section in your documentation. You can change the order of the sections in your documentation - categories and access specifiers.

Class Hierarchy Scheme visualizes the class hierarchy built on the basis of the C/C++ declarations in your project. It represents all inheritance relations between the classes in your C/C++ project and is created automatically by CodeMapper 2.x. Class Hierarchy Scheme is displayed in the Class hierarchy view, which can be customized by the user.

CodeMapper 2.x environment includes several tools - Class browser, Project view, Comment editor, Document view, Class hierarchy scheme and Hints view.

A project created by CodeMapper 2.x represents a file with a cmp extension. It contains the following information:

• results of the last analysis
• files that have to be processed
• comments made by the user
• the template file name

You can create a new CodeMapper 2.x project by pointing a single file from your C/C++ project and it's all you have to do. If you made some changes in your source code, CodeMapperTM will recognize them and respectively do the respective changes in the documentation.When you open an existing CodeMapper 2.x project, it will be re-analyzed automatically.
