EzReg

Not what you're looking for? Use our free sourcing request service.

EzReg works with EzStor content storage files to apply machine license keys so that the file cannot be read by the EzTools Pluggable Protocols (EZH and HSP), so you can lock down your Browser Apps to licensed machines.

EzReg is mainly designed for copy protection of EzStor content storage files and to administer your licensed software, customers, orders and products via a database program. But it can also be used to copy protect any software product. Additionally, there is an optional ISAPI DLL that can be used for automatic Internet licensing. Note that the EzReg copy protection system only features copy protection. It doesn't have a time-expiration feature. But it does have the ability to work with any other licensing software that has a programmable way to create license keys (such as Sheriff), so you can get these features using another licensing tool and still have the benefit of using EzReg's license administration and automatic Internet licensing features (but not with EzStor files). Furthermore, EzReg is being used today with one of the most popular payment gateways - Kagi.

EzReg is extremely flexible, allowing you to use as much or as little of its features as you desire. The copy protection uses a 2-phase unlock system, whereby the EzReg client software generates a code that is unique to the machine it is running on. This Machine Reference Code (or MachineID) is used by the EzReg Admin tool to generate a license key that is also unique to that machine and also to that software product. Because of this, the license key will not work on any other machine, thereby giving your product copy protection.
