Adobe RoboHelp Server software extends and supports the capabilities of Adobe RoboHelp to provide help systems for desktop and web applications and knowledge bases for websites and intranets. Easily deploy and manage up-to-date online content, develop help systems for use with the Microsoft .NET Framework and control and monitor the use of web-based help systems in real time.
New and enhanced feedback reports
Get end-user feedback
Work with new reports such as Page Views and Pages per Visit. Other reports have been enhanced, including Search Trends, Frequently Viewed Content and the Reports page.
Enable users to interact with help content and each other using feedback and topics ratings. Users can comment on topics through AIR Help output and mark their favorites. Users can also view ratings and feedback from other users.
Improved report customisation
Easier report customisation - just select the columns you want to add to the report, and then save them on the server, so they will be automatically included if the same report is regenerated.
Enhanced user interface for Reports
Take advantage of the new professional-looking user interface for Reports, developed with Adobe Flash, to display full-page graphs.

Automatic project merging
Host different help systems by creating multiple contexts in Apache Tomcat, and configuring different instances of RoboHelp Server (with a single installation) to run on each of these contexts (available for all supported operating systems).
Concurrently work on multiple projects and merge them into the project at run time. While building an online information system, authors can develop and publish their content according to their own schedules. RoboHelp Server provides automatic project merging, so authors can work on different parts of a project at the same time, and publish them to the same server. When end users view the content, they see one seamless online information system.
Segregate the Help content into protected and public areas. Protected content is available only to authenticated users and a public area is available to all. You can define several sets of privilege groups and assign different rights to different groups. These rights include view only, publish, and report.
Simplified deployment and configuration
RoboHelp Server runs under the Apache Tomcat Server. As a Web administrator, you can open and delete projects using the Web interface; manage users, areas, and projects; view reports; schedule databases; and search.
Tracking and Reporting
Locate areas where users make repeated requests for information, find out which searches are repeated and how users navigate content, and gather operating system and browser data. Based on the tracking and reporting data, you can customise your content to meet user requirements, find information gaps, and improve heading titles.

Support for REST Web services
REST stands for Representational State Transfer. RoboHelp Server REST services are available at http:////rest/?. If you use the REST Web services in your code, you can perform a search on the content and return results for the context-sensitive help. The REST services return results in XML format.

RoboHelp Server requires Apache Tomcat to run. Tomcat is a servlet container that can also work as a Web server.
