What is it? Windows is notoriously poor at security. Anyone can go up to a PC and get at any applications - and any files. Protecting Windows is now easy with WinLock - which has become the corporate standard in Windows security. You can now offer peace of mind to security conscious users or users who have public access PC's. If you (or your customer) have more than one user on a single PC, Windows allows you to set up users with different user profiles. WinLock lets you set up restrictions that can apply across all users or for individuals. For instance, if an accounts package is on a PC that all staff have access to, it can be set up so that only the person with the right password can access accounts - and WinLock can ensure that this is not by-passed by preventing access to all system files and preventing any 'clever' users from booting into safe mode. You can deny users access to Explorer, or allow it to be used but stop specific users from accessing the 'run' command from the START menu. You can prevent users from altering your desktop or simply stop the desktop icons appearing.
