Veeam Monitor was created expressly to help you better manage the health and performance of your VMware Infrastructure 3 (VI3) environment. With monitoring and alerting designed for the virtual world, support for troubleshooting, trending and capacity planning, Veeam Monitor equips you to proactively manage VI3 system performance.

NEW Improved ESX/VC query
Veeam Monitor 2.1 was optimised to considerably reduce time necessary to retrieve metrics.

NEW ESX Server 3.5, VirtualCenter 2.5 compatibility
Veeam Monitor 2.1 is fully compatible with the latest version of VI3: ESX Server 3.5, VirtualCenter 2.5

Integrated or stand-alone monitoring
Veeam Monitor is integrated with VMware VirtualCenter to provide cluster-aware monitoring of your virtual machines. If a virtual machine is moved to another server in the cluster, by DRS or manually, Veeam Monitor will continue to gather performance data from it. For small datacenters or development labs running without VirtualCenter, Veeam Monitor can still provide useful monitoring, alerting and reporting for multiple ESX servers. SNMP traps can be used to feed data into other popular system monitors, such as CA Unicenter, BMC Patrol, IBM Tivoli or HP OpenView.

Client/Server architecture
Veeam Monitor is a truly enterprise-level application that enables multi-admin access to performance data without affecting ESX and VirtualCenter performance or changing the access policy. It gathers all the performance information into SQL backend allowing users to access the infrastructure-wide performance data and reporting.

Historical reporting
Using the HTML reporting functionality you can generate graphical reports for any period of time. Reports represent detailed graphs on CPU, Memory, Disk I/O, Network I/O and Swap usage within each ESX host per resource pool, cluster or virtual machines they are running. Performance graphs can be defined with several levels of granularity and can be viewed across a specified time interval.

Alarms
With alarms feature you can easily set up email notifications and SNMP traps for important events such as VM powered off, CPU utilisation level excess, etc. Ability to be alerted of such events allows for faster administrator response to critical issues, helping you to maintain overall health of your virtual infrastructure.
