Whether you have 1000 rows to display or 1 million, the ASPxGridView can make advanced UI features such as sorting, grouping, and summary computations available without bringing your server to its knees. It is fast, dependable, and fully optimised. A number of ASP.NET editiors have also been included, ranging from buttons to calendar edit controls.

Data Specifics

Unbound Columns - It's possible to combine bound and unbound data modes. Just add unbound columns and supply data via an event. End-users can edit the values within unbound columns and the changes can then be saved to a custom data source.
Server-side Data Management - has been designed to work with large datasets (consisting of 50,000 records and even more). Bound data is not loaded into memory in its entirety. Instead, the ASPxGridView loads data in small portions, on demand. When the grid starts, it loads and displays the first portion of data from the data store. Then, as an end-user scrolls the grid, when the last record of the loaded subset is reached, the grid requests the data store to return a subsequent data portion.
Master-Detail Support - The ASPxGridView allows you to present master-detail information of any complexity.

Data Editing

Two Edit Modes - The ASPxGridView provides two built-in edit modes: editing via the Edit Form and In-Line editing.
Data Editors (text box, check editor, date editor, etc.), which can be used as standalone or in-place within the ASPxGridView
Row Validation and Error Indication - The ASPxGridView allows you to manually validate the edited row and display error icons for invalid fields.

Data Shaping and Manipulation

Automatic Data Grouping for Any Datasource - Allow your users to group the data against an unlimited number of columns, giving them an unprecedented ability to analyze and edit information.
