SQL Dependency Tracker allows you to dynamically explore all your database object dependencies, using a range of graphical layouts. You can analyse large Microsoft SQL 2000 and SQL 2005 databases and produce an easy-to-read dependency diagram for thorough pre-impact analysis of all database changes. The fast and simple visual rendering of database structures includes a draggable "overview" window to enable very rapid navigation through large databases, plus clipboard functions for saving and printing your target diagrams.

  • Diagram your database dependencies - visually track and explore your database dependencies.
  • Analyse the impact of changes - Add objects to your diagram, and objects which use them will be added automatically.
  • Show source SQL scripts for objects - See the SQL definition of an object for more detail.
  • Track cross-database dependencies - See external references and follow them between databases.
  • Multiple databases, one diagram - Track dependencies between several related databases in the same diagram and project.
  • Customise your diagrams - Move objects around and change their colors.
  • Print directly from the diagram or export as PDF
  • Search, sort and filter objects - Track down the objects you're interested in.
  • Copy diagrams to other programs - Use diagrams in word processing documents, presentations, and other applications.
  • Export XML - Export an XML definition of dependencies for offline processing.
  • Choice of layouts - Choose from multiple automatic layouts to arrange your diagram neatly and make navigation easy.
  • Load/save diagrams as projects - Save all relevant dependency information in a project, so you can explore the diagram offline with no connection to the database.
  • Include or hide constraints - See check constraints, indexes and foreign keys either as objects or as dependencies between objects.
  • Optional system object and filegroup dependencies - Hide these dependencies to minimise clutter, or show them for completeness.
  • Show column names - Show column names on tables and views.
  • Find independent objects - Find potential "orphans" with no dependencies on other objects, to help you clean up your database.
  • Windows 2000, Windows XP, Windows Vista or Windows 2003 Server

  • 10 MB hard disk space
  • Runs on a user's PC (can also run on a server)
