Deploy a small agent on your existing source servers, and on your backup system, select what needs to be backed-up, and your data is safely mirrored to a backup system as it changes. As files change (just byte-level changes, compressed and encrypted) they are safe and secure. |
- Failover: If your primary file-server malfunctions, you can automatically and transparently failover your users to a second machine or site to maintain your company's business continuity. All changes are up to date at the hot site. Or, simply deploy an new agent in seconds, and the data immediately appears ready to use on any new machine while it streams in. There is no faster restore technology.
- Failback: Any changes made during the failover period are instantly restored to the original server when it comes back on line. Users are automatically failed-back and will have their very last change.
- Works over standard HTTP: It's easy to configure across firewalls, VPNs, or any internet connection.
- Works with high-latency or low-bandwidth: It performs byte level file-differencing and compression to eliminate most of the traffic from source server to the backup location. Only the bytes of data that actually changed are ever sent and all communication is encrypted.
- Transparent: It operates in the background so that the ongoing use of the system for any operation is not impacted. There are no "open file" problems at all. If any network connection goes down, nothing is interrupted. All files are still 100% accessible and useable. No matter how long any system is off line, it will automatically reconnect and pick up where it left off with no added traffic or bandwidth intensive "resync".
- History: Past versions of files are stored on the backup server, and you can always and easily retrieve past versions as well as deleted files without any ongoing impact. Retrieve any current or past files via a browser interface, or restore them from disk, or failback directly over the network to the original or new folders. Restore to any instant in time.
- Mirroring: You can mirror the information to any number of sites. For example, your primary server in New York can be replicated in real time to a main backup site in Boston, and also to a server in Tokyo. The data can then be access in real-time in Boston and in Tokyo -- split second after it was modified in New York.
- Point-in-time snapshots: Schedule point-in time snapshots of the data with no impact to ongoing file use.
- Topologies: It is designed to accommodate any backup topology you need such as mirroring many system to one location, mirroring one system to many locations, or mirror many systems to many locations.
