You don't need extra hardware; you don't need to buy Visual Basic; you don't even need to be a programmer to use it effectively!
Vermont HighTest, A Premium Grade Windows Testing Tool
Testing is crucial to the success of your applications. It can also be a nightmare. The only way to test properly and assure the quality of your work and the satisfaction of your customers is to test completely as you go along - after every change and fix you make. Manually that would take forever. Most so-called "automated" testing and quality assurance tools require almost as much work as manual testing.
Build Test Scripts With The Click Of A Mouse
HighTest gives you two ways to create test scripts. Either automatically record scripts as the application is run or build tests from scratch, using HighTest's flexible and full-featured scripting language. Either way it's intuitive, logical and remarkably easy.
Interactive Suite Manager
In serious testing, managing your collection of script files, screen captures, archived files and log files can seem virtually impossible. HighTest makes the process convenient and easy with its Interactive Suite Manager.
With HighTest's Interactive Suite Manager, combining test scripts is as simple as pointing and clicking. Rearrange them by dragging and dropping. And you can do it all with no programming! HighTest's Suite Manager is more than just a database manager, it's an interactive environment for test suite development by enabling you to:
- Set and reset the condition of your desktop
- Organize your test scripts
- Combine scripts into extensive test suites
- Program loops to execute script(s) multiple times
- Set testing hierarchies
- Insert comments
- Playback one script or an entire suite of scripts

Fixed Licenses
This is the standard license. It is designed for a single user at a single workstation and the mode the evaluation version of Vermont HighTest Plus runs in. Each user of Vermont HighTest is required to have a license at his or her own workstation.
Floating Licenses
Designed for the roaming tester, or for groups of testers where only a limited number of testers will be using Vermont HighTest at any one time, this license option gives you the greatest flexibility. Once a Floating License is installed on a machine that is designated as the License Server, a single user can use Vermont HighTest on that machine, or on any machine that is connected to the same network and can access the License Server via a mapped drive. Additional floating user licenses can be added at any time to allow as many floating users at any time as you have licenses. Vermont HighTest can be installed in client mode on as many machines as necessary and the server will hand out the licenses on a first-come, first-served basis up to the license limit. As soon as one user is done and has exited Vermont HighTest, that license will be available for the next user.
Site Licenses
A site license allows the installation of Vermont HighTest on an unlimited number of workstations within a single physical location. This allows you to do limited performance and load testing by utilizing many workstations to run the same or different scripts. Various third party products are available to control the execution of Vermont HighTest across multiple workstations.
