SoftwareWedge allows you to input data from Any Instrument with a serial (RS232, RS485, RS422) interface directly into Any Windows 3.x, Windows 95, NT or DOS Application - EXCEL, Access, MMIs, LIMS, Statistical and Math software.
With complete support for bi-directional I/O, you can even transmit prompts or commands out the serial port to control your instruments directly from within any PC application. Or you can define button-activated, hot key activated or timer-activated output strings to control your instruments directly from SoftwareWedge.
Two levels of the SoftwareWedge are available for both DOS and Windows. The "Standard Editions" of the Wedge are designed to work with most simple instruments including electronic balances, bar code readers, gages or other devices that generate very simple text data.
The "Professional Editions" of the Wedge are more advanced products with many additional benefits including the ability to parse and filter more complex data structures, such as reports of data. They are designed to interface a wider range of instruments including telephone systems, PLCs, pH meters, titrators, and other instruments that generate more complex data. The Pro versions also provide numerous advanced benefits to help simplify data collection.
WinWedge Pro 32 is a true 32 bit version of WinWedge Pro (designed for Windows 95 and NT), providing higher speed - over 30% faster - data acquisition and instrument control. It has all the features of WinWedge Pro plus support for up to 100 serial ports, fully pre-emptive multi-tasking, faster DDE, and native 32 bit processing. In addition it supports TCP/IP as well as serial communications. Hence you can collect data or send data out over a network (Intranet, Internet or Ethernet) to any TCP/IP port address from within ANY Windows 95 or NT application (Access, Excel, etc...).
WinWedge 32 Professional is also supplied with a FREE copy of TCPWedge. This will collect or send data over an Ethernet network or over the Internet into any application program - Access, Excel, MMIs, LIMS...
- TCPWedge software inputs data from any IP addresses directly into any Windows 95 or NT application, including Excel, Access, FoxPro, MMIs, LIMS, SPC programs, control applications, etc...
- Full support for 2 way I/O. Receive data from, or transmit commands and data to, any IP address directly from within any program.
- Connect RS232 devices to an RS232 to TCP/IP converter (such as the Lantronix MSS1 - see Links Page) to transmit serial data over an Ethernet network. Then use TCPWedge software to input the data from anywhere in your facility directly into your Windows applications.
- TCPWedge parses, filters, formats and translates data from any IP address so that it appears exactly as you need in any application program.
A FREE copy of FileWedge is also supplied with WinWedge 32 Professional. This reads data from any disk file, custom tailors it to your requirements, then transfers the data directly into any Windows 3.x, 95, NT or DOS application - either by sending keystrokes to the application or by passing the data through DDE (Dynamic Data Exchange). |
